184 | 1900: 8 of 12 children living, married 23 years 1910: 6 of 8 children living (Mahala or Enoch?), married 31 years http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=basham&id=I16880 (All info here was found at the above rootsweb website of Dwaine Basham) Mahala & Enoch Jones moved to Oklahoma Territory around 1894, according to land records in Potawatomie Co, OK. Patent on homestead received, then subsequently sold in 1899. A.J. Beezley's probate record also verfies Mahala was in Oklahoma Territory at the time of her father's death. There is no divorce record for Mahala and James Roberts in Hunt Co, Texas. In researching the Fed Census of Brown Co. TX for 1910, Mahala & Enoch Jones were found living in the next house to her daughter, Telula (Lula) Roberts Smith. Also in the home was son, Elmer Jones, age 16, born in Texas. Elmer is listed as a brother of Telula Roberts Smith in the Family Bible kept by Elmer Doss Smith, son of Telula & Eugene Sue Smith. | Beezley, Mahalla E (I472)
